"high school"

The term ‘high school’ is in some countries referred to as secondary education. In the USA, it is grades 9 through 12. In the UK it begins earlier with First Form whereas in France it is later. Known as the ‘lycée’ it only includes the last three years of secondary study. Simply put, for the Census, high school refers to the schooling prior to attending university.
