"K-12"

Also known as ‘K’ through ’12’. Used mostly in the U.S.A., it refers to the complete schooling cycle from kindergarten through to the last year of high school. In some countries that may mean 11th or 13th grade instead of the 12th. In other countries, there are no numbers, such as the last year of schooling in France. Simply, K-12 refers to kindergarten, primary, elementary, (junior high or middle school), and high school.
