For the Census, online news refers to news sites operated by bona fide news outlets such as CNN, AP, Bloomberg, Le Monde and many others. Online news also includes stories provided by news ‘aggregators’ such as Apple News or Google News. The term ‘online news’ does NOT include social media such as Facebook or Twitter.
